The youth hostel “Le Fraschette” is placed in the heart of Ciociaria, a land rich in history, art, nature and spirituality. Its territory boasts of the most ancient Benedictine reminiscences, especially in the areas of Subiaco, Alatri and Montecassino. There are also remarkable Cistercian abbeys, like the Trisulti Abbey and the Casamari Abbey.

The Hostel is located in a natural area which includes the eastern side of the Abruzzo National Park, the WWF Botanical Garden Oasis of Collepardo with the “Bambocci” grottoes, the Posta Fibreno Lake Wildlife Reserve and finally the Pastena Grottoes.

There are many medieval castles in this area, like the Fumone Castle and the Torre Cajetani Castle, and medieval strongholds and towns, such as Alatri, Anagni, Ferentino, Arpino and Atina. The archaeological area of Fregellae is noteworthy, too.

The Hostel, open since 2006, is situated in an area which covers about 50 acres.  It was originally a II World War prison camp: it was restructured and made into this nice youth hostel, with a sleeping accommodation of 120 beds (4-bed rooms, with en suite double rooms available).
